According to historical sources, the roots of Maharashtra have been evident since the Maurya Empire’s days in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. Later, it observed the existence of other rulers- Eastern Satraps, Gupta Kingdom, Gurjara-Pratihara, Vakataka, Kadamba, Chalukya Kingdom, Rashtrakuta Dynasty, Central Chalukya, and Yadava. Of all these, the most spoken about were the kings of the Marathas, who were later dethroned by the British during the Third Anglo-Maratha War. The presence of many distinctive dynasties remains reflecting through their archeological treasures, which are among the most popular places to visit in Maharashtra. The Government of Maharashtra is the Ministry of the State of Maharashtra in India. Maharashtra Gr falls under them. Govt of Maharashtra is an independent democracy of 288 MLAs independent of the legislature for a five-year term. Maharashtra has a bicameral legislature composed of two parts, the Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) and the Vidhan Parishad (legislative council).

This is the case in the legislative system; the cabinet is made up of a grouping, a coalition, or a group of members of the lower house who are in the majority. Lower House Majority Leader becomes Chief Minister and appoints cabinet ministers from both Houses.  In the case that an un-elected official becomes Chief Minister, he or she will be elected to either house over the next six months.
